Let’s assume the weather hasn’t been so crap lately here in the UK. There’s one more thing you should do on a summer weekend before it is officially over – watch a movie in the park. Ok, I might be late on this, but I finally got to do it for the first time very recently, and it was such a nice experience. Luckily for me, it wasn’t on a crappy day. Well, if you haven’t done it yet, this one’s for you. Pop Up Screens.
The leading name in summer cinema, Pop Up Screens returned this year with programmes aimed at anyone with a love of classic films and the great outdoors. Viewing in nine of London’s most idyllic settings, including the Greenwich Peninsula, Bishop Park in Fulham, Eltham’s Tudor Barn and Coram Field’s in Holborn which I went to see 4 Weddings And A Funeral.
So, this September, just because the summer is winding down doesn’t mean that life is over for the year. There are a few classic favourites lined up for the month including Lion King, The Notebook, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and The Shawshank Redemption to mention a few. See full listings over on Pop Up Screens.
