A floral maxi dress emanates the spirit of summer. The feeling of freedom, fun, carefreeness and all the goodness the sun brings – when if finally decides to stay. So, what have I got planned for summer sixteen?
…Well, not a holiday anywhere yet, but knowing me, I’m very last minute.
Since we are half way gone in the year, and I haven’t got any holidays away planned, I decided to take some time off from work, just for me. Some time to sit in my garden and read a book or magazine. Do some much-needed house decorations. Since we moved into our place, the house decor work has slowed down a lot. Perhaps I’ll also make some time to do more of the things I enjoy doing like sewing. Maybe make something summery for myself. Also on the agenda is to pay a little more attention to the blog, attend events and have some late mornings. A week may not be enough to do everything, but I plan on making the most of it, going with the flow and having a good time doing whatever.
Happy Summer Sixteen guys! Looking forward to what the next half of the year brings.
There’s a kind of power that comes with a beautiful dress. This dress is an oldie, one of those pieces that only come out in the summer. I like the boho yet glamorous vibe. It would totally complement the white walls of Santorini, or perhaps, a casual weekend brunch in Mayfair…or paired with heels, for a glitzy evening. The dress speaks for itself and there is really no need for dramatic or statement accessories. To make it a bit “more me”, I decided to have both earring and choker to finish the look. The choker is a hand me down from my other half’s nan and is potentially older than me – talk about vintage huh?
