Is it me or did summer sixteen come and go in a flash? I left my house this morning to be embraced by a very nippy autumn breeze. I was torn between running back to get a big knit scarf or just brave it, hoping that the rest of the day would get warmer.
Anyway, I did this shoot in the peak of summer, one of those days temperatures hit high 20’s and wearing black wasn’t really justifiable. But this good old off the shoulder top got rid of all the cons of wearing this number. How I’m going to miss this trend. It’s one of the most awkward things to wear underneath a blazer or jacket, but that’s not to say off the shoulders are going to disappear completely this autumn. Wearing:
Top – Zara
Jeans (Mom jeans) & Sandals – Topshop
Sunglasses – Dior
I had no set plans for the summer, so no holidays, no extensive goals that people make for summer. I decided to go with the flow and carry on working on more personal goals, whilst remaining as flexible as possible and embracing new opportunities. That’s sort of a plan as well, right? And I really do have some good memories of summer sixteen. (…not my ‘rarri :-P)
So, this summer, on the fun side, I enjoyed a few late nights, most of it spent on the roof terrace in Harvey Nichols, brunch on Sundays in Nottinghill. I know it sounds regular, but I honestly don’t do much in the winter and now that I no longer live in London, I’m not sure how often that’s going to happen in the next 4-6 months. In another story, have any of you guys tried KIND snacks? They are really REALLY tasty, at the heart of it all, KIND is about celebrating and spreading kindness, one snack and one act at a time, which is one of the reasons why I decided to share this with you guys on the blog. I was sent a few of them initially and I’ve since been going back for more. My faves are Caramel Almond & Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate & Cherry Cashew.
