Ruffled Jumper and Military Blazer

by

Ruffles on everything! I’ve always had a thing for ruffles or frills. It’s the playfulness and fun vibe. My mum bought and often made me clothes with ruffles, bows and ribbons when I was younger, I guess that’s where the love comes from. I must say, I am a repeat offender with this ruffled jumper, I already featured it once on the blog so no need for intro.

Ruffled Jumper and Military Style Blazer

I could pull an endless list of ruffled jumpers and tops I’m coveting right now, but I’ll spare you guys. The French Connection jumper as per outfit is an oldie and currently sold out, but I’m totally in love with this other jumper, which my bank account says no to! In saying that, here are few looks as seen during on the AW16 runway shows. I particularly liked the knits from Mother of Pearl.

Good ol’ high street never disappoints. Here are some high street options that certainly shouldn’t break the bank. I’m very pragmatic with shopping as you might already know…

Oh! And did I say military blazer? Yes! I don’t think military jackets or style ever went anywhere, but it’s safe to say it’s about to take centre stage again this autumn winter. True confession, I was never a big fan. Yeah, feel free to gasp and go WHAT! WHAT!! Hear me out…I’ve realised my taste in fashion has evolved a lot and that came with age. I always saw the trend as very mature, restrictive and not fun at all. But ‘the girl who is no longer in her 20’s’ now sees fashion in a different way. I go on about how clothes should be functional, right! When I was younger, that would never have crossed my mind… Anyway, I actually do like the composed military look now but trust me to add an element of fun, which is exactly what I’ve done with this look.autumn-outfit_military-blazerBurberry signed, sealed and delivered it all in the AW16 runway show. *Considering a trip to their outlet store soonish…Some good on-budget to slightly more expensive options including the Topshop one I’m wearing below 🙂

Like I mentioned already, this jumper is an oldie from French Connection. Paired with Topshop trousers (sold out, but here is another colour I would recommend), Bianca Elgar Silk Scarf, Chloe Faye Bag and lace up ankle boots c/o Next.
