Ok, I’m not going to go into much details in this post, I’ll be doing a more detailed post on day 5. So here is a quick one… If you are already following on me on Snapchat, Twitter or Instagram, you would have seen quite a lot from me already. My day started with J JS Lee at 11am, then Bora Aksu and I finished with Ashley Isham around 5pm. Unfortunately I missed a few shows due to distance etc, but you can trust I will be catching up on them and sharing with you soon. Highlight of the day was going backstage for Jean Pierre Braganza – whose collection I absolutely loved, as well as Ashley Isham. More on this in my round-up post.
On to my outfit for day 1. I opted for “utility”, wearing a boiler suit, and added a touch of vintage by pairing it with a faux fur gilet. Now, a boiler suit is a tricky piece if you are not a giant – so they say, ummm, I’m clearly not one. If you know me, you’ll know I don’t necessarily obey fashion rules and I like to make things work; that’s what I did with this gorgeous Asos number.
This look is a reflection of my lifestyle and personality. Here’s why I say so: before I buy most things, I ask myself, can I wear it casually or to work? I’m all about utility, I need to be able to fully utilize my wardrobe. When I was younger, I would buy things because they looked nice on me, hoping that I could wear it on a special occasion. But now, I think work and everyday, my wardrobe is all about utility and functional pieces. I hope you like!
