LFW SS16 Day 1 Outfit_Boiler SuitAfter much anticipation, D-day finally arrived: London Fashion Week SS16, Day 1.

Ok, I’m not going to go into much details in this post, I’ll be doing a more detailed post on day 5. So here is a quick one… If you are already following on me on Snapchat, Twitter or Instagram, you would have seen quite a lot from me already. My day started with J JS Lee at 11am, then Bora Aksu and I finished with Ashley Isham around 5pm. Unfortunately I missed a few shows due to distance etc, but you can trust I will be catching up on them and sharing with you soon. Highlight of the day was going backstage for Jean Pierre Braganza – whose collection I absolutely loved, as well as Ashley Isham. More on this in my round-up post. On to my outfit for day 1. I opted for “utility”, wearing a boiler suit, and added a touch of vintage by pairing it with a faux fur gilet. Now, a boiler suit is a tricky piece if you are not a giant – so they say, ummm, I’m clearly not one. If you know me, you’ll know I don’t necessarily obey fashion rules and I like to make things work; that’s what I did with this gorgeous Asos number.

This look is a reflection of my lifestyle and personality. Here’s why I say so: before I buy most things, I ask myself, can I wear it casually or to work? I’m all about utility, I need to be able to fully utilize my wardrobe. When I was younger, I would buy things because they looked nice on me, hoping that I could wear it on a special occasion. But now, I think work and everyday, my wardrobe is all about utility and functional pieces. I hope you like!

When I saw this pairing, I knew I had to comment! This vest is easy to style in the fall and winter months. The burgundy color is an absolute staple. The suit is to die for. You can turn it up by adding statement accessories or downplay it with simple pieces for a girls Sunday brunch. You rocked this!
