Downsizing – Swapping my regular sized bag for this oversize envelope clutch. Big enough to fit the essentials.
I’m no Ebay guru or anything – why am I being defensive? I’ve never claimed to be one…It’s one of those cool things, I know people who know the ins and outs of fashion shopping on Ebay. They get the most amazing stuff, and my reaction is this “You got that from eBay? You are kidding me!” I like my good ol’ bargain, so of course, I’m impressed. I am looking on with envy knowing I’ll never to be so cool. My only way of getting over this is by being defensive about it.
Ever since the over-sized clutch trend came back in fashion, I was all for it. In fact, I wrote a post about this 2 years ago when I started blogging. I particularly have a thing for envelope clutches, but what could you possibly fit in a flat shaped bag? Not much to be honest, otherwise, it looses it’s shape. Also, clutches do make your arm hurt after a while, or maybe just me…but they are stylish so who cares?
Well, I’ll tell you how this happened, I was about my business on bloglovin, if you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll know I’ve been on one of those marathon blog reading sesh because I don’t stop pinning – you should check out my Bloggers Love to Love board right away! Boom! I spotted a nice bag…and no, it wasn’t a Chanel Boy bag! That’s all I see on most blogs lately, impressive, very impressive…ok, moving on. This was a clutch a very nice clutch spotted on Spanish blogger Pricila Betancort’s blog My Showroom, I saw she got it on ebay, followed the link and from there, I started to explore, one reason led to the other and I found myself going from page to page until I found this ONE. Straight into basket and on to check out – bang, that was it, over, tired and exhausted. A couple of days later, my clutch arrived and I was pleased with it! Yeah I had a split second of doubt about it before I clicked purchase, I just don’t buy for buying’s sake, but at the price I got it, I wouldn’t have much to loose.
Till next time eBay, I might still come back for the same clutch I saw on My Showroom, but for now, every penny counts towards my Chanel Boy bag, or maybe another Chanel number that is less popular.
