…on to Day 2 of London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 16, here’s what I wore. If you haven’t caught up with my summary of day 1, please go have a quick read now.
This post is so delayed, but lets say a lot of real life stuff has been going on. I had the post fashion week exhaustion and I was ill for a couple of days with no energy or drive to do anything…that’s all cleared up now and the entire LFW is all becoming a big blur which is why I had to roll this post out as quickly as possible. Everyone has moved on to Milan Fashion Week and then on to Paris Fashion Week, after this, the work fashion week will be unbearable and tired and no one would want to hear of it any more…well, until September.
Starting with my outfit, I call this look ‘meet me half way – I want to go glam, but not quite’… Let me make you get me. This look was actually inspired by looks from NYFW AW16, both Saint Laurent and Escada had the blazer x chunky belt look in their catwalk shows. I shared a picture of this on my instagram, it’s nothing new, but it’s one of the trends I was quite fond of in mid 00’s. I already had the glam-sports look brewing in my head so on the morning of day 2, everything came together. I paired my old blazer from Topshop (similar here) with oldish trousers from Lavish Alice along with the white snake-skin Adidas superstar trainers the lovely guys at Schuh sent me. I glammed it up with a customized statement necklace from Taro Collection which completed the look and the image I had in my head perfectly. Unfortunately, the weather was awful and I had to skip a few activities and went home with wet and muddy hemmed trousers 🙁
Wearing: Blazer – Topshop, Trousers – Lavish Alice, Shoes – Adidas c/o Schuh, Sunglasses – Quay Australia, Necklace – Taro Collection, Bag – Chanel c/o Designer Exchange, Belt – Asos
The day started off with We Are Kin’s presentation at The Apartment, on to a couple of other presentations which I’ll talk about in another post. As I also enjoy the fun part of fashion week, I stopped at the Barrus x Rolls Royce LFW party with my friends, to end the eventful time I had this season. I leave you with this picture taken by Jevgenija at the party.
