3 Confidence Boosting Personal Style Tips

Like they say, dress the way you would like to be addressed.

Style is about self-expression and reflecting your character through clothing, styling and your imagination or creativity. How you want to portray yourself and how you want to be perceived by others.

I’ve been very experimental over the years but with age, trend, experience and mostly lifestyle my choices in fashion and clothes have evolved.

I wrote about the importance of building a functional wardrobe, which could enhance self-confidence. What’s weird is that the moment I tilt too far right out of my comfort zone, it takes a slight hit on my confidence.

To come across as a woman who has all her s**t together (it doesn’t matter if you do or don’t), pretty knows what she wants and is a #girlboss, here are my 3 confidence boosting personal styling tips.

Opt for clothes that enhance your poise

Poise- “Graceful and elegant bearing in a person.” “Composure and dignity of manner.” – oxforddictionaries.com

This isn’t something that gets mentioned often in popular articles. But in my opinion, very crucial for confidence boosting.

Focus on your good features

It’s so easy to focus on and try to hide the bits we don’t like about ourselves. I’m guilty of this too. But whilst it may be more comfortable to hide our insecurities, how about taking attention away from them by paying a bit of attention to features we like?

Don’t Shy Away From Trying Something Different

…That feeling you get when you buy something you aren’t maybe too sure of, you take it home and it fits perfectly! So, don’t shy away from the unusual colour or unusual piece, it could just be the missing in your wardrobe as well as a key to boosting your self-confidence.

So, what tricks and tips do you have up your sleeves for boosting your personality and confidence through your fashion choices? I would love to know if any of the above tips work for you.

Hi Banké, great post! I’ve also found that playing into all the trends may not work for me or might lower my confidence, but finding a way to make the trend my own helps boost it.
