A Summer Night in London | Outdoor Cinema

Let’s assume the weather hasn’t been so crap lately here in the UK. There’s one more thing you should do on a summer weekend before it is officially over – watch a movie in the park. Ok, I might be late on this, but I finally got to do it for the first time very recently, and it was such a nice experience. Luckily for me, it wasn’t on a crappy day. Well, if you haven’t done it yet, this one’s for you. Pop Up Screens.

The leading name in summer cinema, Pop Up Screens returned this year with programmes aimed at anyone with a love of classic films and the great outdoors. Viewing in nine of London’s most idyllic settings, including the Greenwich Peninsula, Bishop Park in Fulham, Eltham’s Tudor Barn and Coram Field’s in Holborn which I went to see 4 Weddings And A Funeral.

So, this September, just because the summer is winding down doesn’t mean that life is over for the year. There are a few classic favourites lined up for the month including Lion King, The Notebook, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and The Shawshank Redemption to mention a few. See full listings over on Pop Up Screens.

Tapping into the fashion world’s passion for body art, the HTC One M9 INK is the first of its kind and delivers a body art-inspired one off illustration which is engraved onto the back of the phoneDuring the evening, attendees enjoyed a bespoke cocktail created for Jourdan: the HTC (P)INK – a raspberry mojito, as it is her favourite drink.  Body artist CallyJo applied the bespoke HTC INK body art to celebrities and press; and Model and DJ Zara Martin took to the decks to soundtrack the exclusive eventplaying a classic hip-hop set to get everyone on their feet.

For the event, I think I got the black and white memo…I was in co-ordination with a black lace shirt, white skirt which I made, paired with nude block heel sandals and a leopard print clutch.

Wearing: Shirt (old) – River Island, Skirt (I made), Sandals c/0 – Chockers, Clutch Bag- New Look, Necklace – H&M

What To Do | Mother’s Day Out

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and it’s that time of the year when many people are scouting around for presents and gift ideas here in the UK. I think there’s more of the ‘what to buy your mums on Mother’s Day’ ideas than there is any other general ideas. When AttractionTix approached me with the ‘Mother’s Day Out’ idea; to enjoy a day at Hampton Court Palace, see the palaces and enjoy afternoon tea afterwards, I totally embraced it, it’s refreshing and if you like history, culture and art, it’s perfect.

Personally, this is something I would love to do with my mum, she has so much stuff already. Also, I know many people like me who live in the UK but haven’t experienced being a tourist or visited any tourist attractions – I think Mother’s Day is a perfect opportunity to explore historic sites and experience a bit of culture, mums would relate to it.Hampton-Court-Palace

So, here’s why HCP is a good idea and you would agree with me – In celebration of 500 years of Hampton Court Palace, this Mothers’ Day weekend from 13 – 15 March, you can experience all the drama, pomp and prestige of 500 years of history…in flowers, inspired by five different centuries against a backdrop of Baroque splendour, as Hampton Court Palace once again plays host to Florimania.

There is so much going on over the weekend, I would totally urge you to read more about ‘Mother’s Day out’ here.

Apart from enjoying the flowers inside the palace, you can do what I did during my visit; explore the glorious gardens, from the perfect order and symmetry of the Privy Garden to the world’s oldest (and most famous) puzzle maze. Lose yourself amidst the fountains, statues where centuries of monarchs and their courtiers once strolled, and experience the dramatic landscapes created by some of the finest gardeners in British history. I took lots of pictures but I don’t think  they would do any justice, people who have been would agree with me.

Thank you for reading, if you are in the UK, it’s definitely something cool and different to do on Mother’s Day wouldn’t you agree? If you have any other plans or ideas for Mother’s Day, please share by leaving a comment below.

Lipsy SS15 Press Event with Michelle Keegan

Hey guys, last week, I attended the Lipsy SS15 press event. Those following me on my other social media platforms would have seen quite a bit from this because I shared pictures from the event on Twitter and Instagram last week. It was such a beautiful event, unfortunately, I couldn’t capture the event through my own lenses, but my friend Eva from Glamazon blog did, and she an amazing job with this video.

I thought I would share it with you…

The Michelle Keegan collection will be available from 5th March and I’m looking forward to the dresses and co-ordinates from the collection. Since I wasn’t able to take pictures from the event, I will try and do a round up of my guide to the new season’s pieces when they are available.

A few more pictures for you…
